The Haul: February 2016

BEAUTIFUL Glad you found one again!

 

My mum was unable to visit over Christmas but luckily she was able to come over today and we finally exchanged Christmas gifts.


Looking for inspiration she looked at my posts on here and found out I was running out of Proraso soap. So I was very happy to receive that,as well as a wonderful Omega Silvertip brush.



The tips are so soft I can't wait to use it! She also bought me a couple of Muhle soaps, a brand which I've never tried before so that should be fun. I feel thoroughly spoilt.

Arrived today: vintage frame back from the Sheffield shop of George Wostenholm & Son (this model circa 1850-1875). Some evident pitting on blade, tang & tail, plus some worm holes in the pressed horn scales…but she's still some mileage left on 'er!

 

Love those scales....

 

Smells fantastical. Like vanilla and strawberries with a touch of musk. Gonna shave with it in a minute. These are sold out all over the place I can't believe I found one

 

The Evahs has landed and with gifts. A big thanks to @LuvWetShavin Will test drive it tomorrow and post on SOTD.

There is 2 Astra SP blades in the razor box (where it says BLADES ) just in case you didnt see them .. Enjoy !!

 

I now have my own Gillette Blue Tip, thanks to @Dzia Dzia . It will see action next week.

My order from Gift & Care arrived! And a RR One X from IB. Now if only the post office can figure out where my brush is that's out for delivery..

 

I sure hope he isn't working up a monster lather right now with it.

2) A small lot that was bought essentially unseen for $25 shipped.

a) A small shaving soap bowl in pewter made in Sheffield, England



b) a NIB Merkur razor.
If anyone know what model this is please do let me know as I don't know myself but would love to.
It's a fairly small razor but with a nice weight to it.
