Id say try a good shave soap and skip the moisturizer after shaving. Instead use a good alcohol based after shave, pref one with goodies in it...

A 6$ chinese pure badger, got it from the bay and it performs magic! Its quite stiff and has a long loft - but man does it make lather :D
