Very nice job restoring that very unusual razor!
I guess every single one of us could tell similar stories. The only thing you can do to avoid these situations (as much as possible) is to drive...
Wow, that razor has seen som heavy use. A rare find indeed. The only thing I can say is that it's most likely an english razor, but somehow I fail...
The most manly aftershave would surely be either bay rum or whisky. Islay whisky, hevily peated Islay whisky :D
The straight is not a travel-razor, it's a corn-razor ;)
Cohiba, Romeo y Julietta, H. Upmann, Punch and Partagas are amongst my fafourites :)
You can't find much in Austria but look out for Palmolive, Nivea and Tabac products. Don't forget SIR Irisch Moos. You can best find shaving stuff...
THE best vintage shaving soap is Old Spice. They don't make 'em like they used to anymore. I only have one so I use it on special occasions only...
I'm very interested in a long-time usage report on that denim strop. Never heard of anyone using a strip of jeans-cloth as a strop before.
I'm sorry to hear that - may all things resolve soon!
it's both right and wrong - but it sure is a thought-provoking joke.
Congrats on finding the perfect razor - many of us have tried to do so, most have failed and are still aqcuiring stuff :D
looks unworthy to the brand in my eyes. I mean, just look at how the name's stamped on it.... Just another item to fool the innocent unknowing...
I fear some of my stuff will outlive me :D
Thanks y'all and Happy Birthday to you, my queen! :: @Jeff: Hochzeit? Davon weiß ich noch nichts :D
holy mother of god - that's gotta be the haul of the month here. I hope you've got insurance coverage on that razor :D
Stories like these are the reason I don't let anyone else shave me :D Sorry to hear about your bad experience!
That's just a rumor. We use rusty axes instead.
Thank god he's okay! All the best to you, mate, and your community! ::
Welcome to The Shave Den! And no, at 21 you're definitely not the youngest guy around here!
