*Wave* Or quack, whatever, lol. So hi! I got into DE/wet shaving Christmas of last year because I'm cheap. I've mentioned that I've debated it, and someone decided to get me a Parker 60R, Parker brush, and stand. I then bought the highest rated blades and soap on amazon (Astra and colonel conk). Then went to town. Wow. So now, in the last 6 months I own 7 razors, have tried 14 blades blades, and have another razor in the mail and 8 more different blades on the way. So now I'm going to start primarily posting because I've killed off my RAD. I bought a Merkur 12c as my 6th razor, tried a personna red, and wow! As always, YMMV, which is why I've avoided posting and lurked because I didn't feel like I had much to offer. Now I feel like I understand YMMV and offer a real unbiased opinion.
Welcome to TSD! One of our members Barrylu jokes that razors need a full week before they're ready for action again, so *of course* you need 7+ razors
Welcome to the Den. Never feel like you have nothing to offer. Sharing your experiences while learning are of great help to others just starting out. I can almost guarantee you haven't killed off your RAD. I used the same razor for 39 years, used three aftershaves and only about three different soaps. Since joining the Den at the beginning of this year I now have twelve razors, have pif'd away four more, have five different lather mixing bowls, tried at least fifteen different shave creams and soaps, use thirteen aftershaves and balms and had a shaving supply stand made. I'm not complaining one bit though. I have turned my daily shaving routine into a wonderful hobby and I owe it all to the great people here at the Den. Have fun learning and enjoy your shave.
Welcome aboard, and don't worry about having nothing to offer. Having nothing to offer has served me well for 400 posts and counting. Beyond all reason they still put up with me.
