I forgot to take a pic of the case when I got it from @Jrdelgado, but you can see from this pic of the case taken apart showing that the top and bottom needing restoration. The one on top I already started with the fabric.......... This pic showing the covers complete and the case re-assembled. The inside linings were in good shape, so I just cleaned them up before putting them back in. Didn't really need a pic for that as I didn't do any work on them. Basically using a thin cloth that's glued to the cover plate using craft glue. When dried, lots of paint until almost smooth, maybe a light sanding afterwards, then clear coats. Most of the work is just time consuming to get it the way you want it.
They GEM case he did for me looks showroom new. He spent a bunch of time on it and it really shows. It is a beauty and I’ll keep it from now on. I am tickled that he did this case as well. Excellent work Jim!
