Here they are: My early British Invasion Rocket HD What I would guess came out of a #58 Aristocrat Jr. A narrow favorite (this week).
Yeah, I've yet to find a blade that doesn't feel great paired with the Jr. The others I've only had a few days but they're incredible shavers. Portuguese Postal tracking blows! All I know is that I have two razors that have departed Lisbon on the 3rd and the 9th.
I have 3-4 razors that supposedly are leaving France...but the sellers are not replying to emails and the tracking numbers have not been updated after over a week. Sigh.
I have a case for an Aristocrat, but no razor, lol. Those are sweet razors, all of them. Best of luck on the French connection.
Some serious razor porn coming together on this thread.....Man! I'm really starting to feel like I need a shave....but I'm still DFS from the BBS I got this morning....ha,ha....Better stop looking at these pics and find something to get my mind off of shaving before I shave again anyway....lol
just scored one ,another fine piece of my aristocrat collection. 1956 with patent #694093 and loop in side the case.good user grade.
Technically not an Aristocrat. You know, just saying, pushing people away is part of being Aristocratic.
i have read this razor is an aristocrat junior.based on an early advertisement.i have only seen them in this style case.definitely an upscale razor ,crat or not. i ve only seen hd 500s in plastic cases, but i haven t seen everything..far from it. i have a canadian flat plate crat jr ,late #15 flat plate crat, #22/66 triangle plate crat with no case, 46-7 u.s. crat and a 48-50 notched u.s. crat.now a late #58 crat jr. i eventually would like to own some of the older ones, #15, 21,an open comb example, early u.s. ones .i will probably stop collecting gillettes after this.just a small collection of special vintage gillettes to pass on. the #58 is a cool looking razor and i am glad to finally own one..
You are right, it is a Jr. (aristoratic high nose). Kidding aside, I have a couple Aristocrat Jrs and they are great. Good luck with your hunt! I put a cap on my collection just a couple weeks ago.
