A friend of mine bought a lot of red tips and blue tips, so I got one from him in great condition. Heard these were a bit aggressive, I shall see when I shave with it this morning. I will also get a blue tip from him today and post pics later of it. I will post my review of it after use!

Nice. They are aggressive in so much as more aggressive than the black tip, blue tip and plain tip but they aren't aggressive in terms of rip-your-face-off.

The red tip is aggressive compared to a blue tip. I thought that the blue tip was dangerous for me because it is so light weight which made me use pressure when shaving. It took many passes for me to get a good shave whereas the red tip did a good job in 3 to 4 passes. Nice looking Red tip you have there.

As advertised the red tip lives up to expectations. Im normally a 2 pass shaver cuz im pretty new but after 1 WTG pass I felt good. It has a great grip on it and I think its a bit easier to get in the hard parts then the EJ I have. Still shopping for a good fatboy but this razor has got me the Vintage Gillette bug!

    Todays shave:

    1956 Super Speed Red Tip
VDH Pure Badger (need to upgrade soon!)
    VDH Luxury Soap
    Gillette Super Thin Blade (fresh)

I have my red tip in this weeks rotation with a Voskhod blade. Very smooth and close shave! You will enjoy that gem of a razor. I also have a fatboy and a slim and this red tip give just a smooth shave as the others do. Great find!

Very nice looking RT! I have a 1st quarter 1956 RT which is my birth year and quarter and really enjoy using it.

My vintage TTO's don't see much action these days, but I did use a Red Tip for quite some time when I first started...

I don't think they're aggressive at all though.

Very nice! Fantastic razor, and one of my favorites. Really love the weight and I almost always get great shaves out of my Red Tips.

My red tip gave me quite a few weepers the first time I used it, so I put it away for a few months. Then I found it again and started using it.
I like it a lot. It shaves me about as well as my Merkur slant. I was new at this when I used it the first time and didn't have my technique down pat.
It's a great razor. I can do 2 passes, 1 WTG and 1 XTG, and get a DFS. I hate that they quit making them.
