Hard to believe something made in the 1970s is now 40 to 50 years old.

I received this NOS 1970s Gillette Regular Lather Shave Cream last week. Just thought I would showcase the beautiful lather it produced during last evening's shave. I was intrigued as in the ingredients is listed palm (coconut) oil - like Palmolive shaving cream - and !PEANUT OIL! The lather was quite thick and fluffy. Provided fantastic lubrication as well. Frankly, this cream is awesome and ranks tied at № 1 with my favorite current-production Italian Palmolive.

I always start out with a dollop of cream about the size of a shelled almond nut and about 2 teaspoons of warm water. Completely soak brush, then shaken free of excess water. Vigorously lather in a bowl, adding if necessary another teaspoon of water each whipping until it explodes large and fluffy. It usually takes me only about a maximum of 3 teaspoons of water.
