1st time with Gillette New

Tried mine out this morning. I had been put off a bit since it's (to me) a fierce looking razor. But after being attacked by my Lux the other day, I figured it couldn't be any worse.

Surprise, surprise! A delightful razor that gave me a very nice shave. Used a new Crystal blade, some TSD bergamont cream and had a nice smooth shave. It felt a little strange with the comb vs a bar but I liked it. It is definetely in my rotation, small though it is.

Just goes to show that looks aren't everything

 

Gillette "New" open combs are fantastic razors, IMHO. They work especially well if you have several days of growth to take down.

 

they give nice close shaves. I find that the correct blade angle is different than my other razors.

 

A NEW is what I reach for most often. With a Feather blade...awesome shaves!

 

Hmmm...I think I gave my NEW away a while ago. I cant seem to find it anywhere. Probably went to a bunch of n00bs with the rest of my techs and that sorta stuff.

 

I have one but use it only to shave my armpits

Might have to try it on the ole mug again some time

 

Arm Pits?!
