Found these two stones hiding in the corner of a display case at my local antique store. Almost pulled the trigger early in the week but waited when I heard they were having a weekend sale. My patience rewarded me. Got these two vintage cotis for $25 total! First photo is how they looked when I got em. Second photo is after a few hours of lapping All pretty..... One of my honing mentors told me I scored! I guess the one with the blue patch is a Rue de Salam coti which are very high quality. Finally I scored one of these finds
The Wosty you see in that picture was one I restored a few years ago. I played with it a little bit tonight on the large coticule. The blade already had a decent edge so I merely refined it. I look forward to taking another blade to the 8K level and then trying for a "finished" edge on this baby.
