All 24 mm synthetics from shaveforge.com (no affiliation). I am a bit miffed because I got a little epoxy on two of them down toward the base where most folks get epoxy...oh well, can't win them all! From left to right is a C40 Ever-Ready, a Vulfix 404 Grosvenor handle, and a C40 clone, IIRC it was a BurmaShave kit brush (walls were way thinner than the C40's). I have a 4th knot but the other C40 clone handle I have cracked when I was removing the knot. I'm going to make some homemade micarta for a handle now so that one is in the hopper for future stuff .
Nice job Bob. Your post the other day motivated me and I replaced the knot in my Vulfix 404 tonight. Used a 24mm 70/30 mixed knot from Maggards. It is curing now. Thanks.
After 7 years in a box, it is usable again. I just gave it a test lather this morning. Here are my brushes. From L to R, 26mm Semogue BC Mistura, Vulfix 404 with 24mm Maggards Mixed Knot set at 52mm loft, 22mm Semogue Mistura, Chubbz 3 (Rubberset 300n with Omega 10029 knot) @stingraysrock has Chubbz 1 and 2.
Thanks. Those are mixed knots and a boar. The 22mm brush was pretty much the only one I used until fairly recently. I liked it enough that I have a backup if needed. They were a 2014 limited edition and probably my favorite brush. If you would use a badger, Ill send you one. I have a 22mm badger with the same handle as the 22mm mistura. Nice brush, but just sits in a box here.
