An error-free 3 pass shave gave me a smooth result. I will be using Cella until it is finished. Hopefully, it won't be too long. Lol! The alum feedback was evident. Finished with my usual routine. I will try to finish with the Glastonbury aftershave because there is not much left. For those of you that are interested in the soap, it's a mutton tallow base and the scent has patuolli in it. To me, it smells like a fabric softener. It's pleasant, but not for me. The aftershave smells a bit darker. Take care.

Busy again, but using my February Favorites/Freedom to have some fun today…..

During my prior focus, I noticed that Arko and Jikoryen shave sticks have some complimentary qualities, so I decided to try a mashup of the two. I started by adding a 1/4” thick coin of each to my shave bowl.

I was then able to whip up a really nice lather in short order with the Muhle STF

I used the Henson and Feather combo and got a really great shave. Arko performance and the great after shave feel of the Jikoryen combined nicely.

I usually face lather, so I’m just going to leave the combined soaps in the bowl and use them once in a while. I may also cut two lengthwise and combine them for a twist up combo travel stick. At less than two bucks per stick I feel pretty free to fool around with this a bit more.

Have a great evening gents, and I hope you all enjoyed my Tuesday science experiment.

Surprised by this razor, previously I had struggled with it somewhat but today was easy. I would not normally have put a fresh blade in this razor but it worked out just fine

Our electricity has been down since 3 PM yesterday, take-away food, lots of candles and torches, cold shower, early to bed

So this morning’s shave was with natural light only, and of course cold water which is fine by me
