SV Felce Aromatica is another shave set I have had sitting around for years. To be honest, after checking some of my other older soaps, I am almost afraid to open this tub and sniff to see if there's any scent left. The splash will be fine because it is in a metal bottle, but the soap - who knows? I will be brave and try it during my Fougere/Fern February...

I wonder, Neal: is the Gillette Tech actually the longest continuously made named safety razor model ever made by any manufacturer?

 

Yes. Welcome to the modern corporate age. It's been going on for a long time, of course. Gillette is actually owned by Proctor & Gamble, although more of a self-sufficient subsidiary. And, Gillette also still owns Braun and Oral-B.

 

Oh, now you've gone and done it. I'll have to look up and do some research. My gut instinct would say yes but I'll get a definitive answer. That means I'll have to read about razors, razor companies, date razors and all that stuff you know I HATE doing!

 

No editing involved. It just looks great. My other Fatboy shows a lot more wear on the silo doors and around the handle. I saw this on Ebay and it was a steal of a price. Couldn't resist.

 

Thank you Joe. I only use the camera on my phone to take them, after that using the free Snapseed photo editing android app I reduce the size for uploading do a few minor adjustments, then finally add a border to make them look presentable in my posts to the forum.

i say the sheriton/superspeed tto line would be the longest gillette line..1937-86.

Excellent Friday morning shave with a seldom used soap and toner. This soap has 36 grams left in the tub which is approximately 23-26 shaves. I will feature this soap on my Monday’s Declaration Grooming shaves. At least until the Fall. I should be close to the EF
this soap by then.

Did 2 passes plus touchups on my dome and 2 on my face and neck without any trace of blood. Achieved a dolphin smooth dome with the Schick and a close and comfortable shave on my face and neck with the Aust straight razor. No lather pic because I loaded off the puck onto my dome and face.
Had very little alum feedback all around.
Finished the shave with the application of the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. Take care.
