I didn't know that brit Gillette razors weren't not date coded until 1965. I guess you have to estimate a range of dates for razors based on the history of production.

    Good afternoon.

    Gillette Redtip
    Gillette 7'o'clock Perma-Sharp DE Blade (6th use)
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
TSD Barber Shoppe SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24.5 hrs

    20221101_164929~2.jpg

It's my first shave of the month so I decided to use this setup. The Red Tip is not an aggressive razor imo and I thought it would do a great job on my 1 day growth with a blade on its 6th use. I haven't used a TSD soap in awhile so I brought it out. The soap needs plenty of water, unfortunately if you are looking for a yogurty lather, then this isn't for you. However, I will say the performance is pretty good. The only other downside with the soap and the aftershave is that the scent is nonexistent so I would never buy a TSD soap again.
Did a nice 2 pass shave with minimal touchup for a BBS shave.
Had very little alum feedback. Finished with my usual post shave routine. Enjoy your evening.

    Thanks Gary!

I wonder how long a used GEM blade will work in a scraper compared to a regular, new box cutter blade.

    Fun things to ponder.

    Have a great day!

Thanks Gary. I think that I am going to do a safety, straight, shavette order of shaves the entire month. Tomorrow will be a straight and Thursday will be a shavette, and then continue the cycle
