I got this 1918 Property of U.S. Army Old Type in a junk parts lot. It had the head, and the top and bottom of the handle, but the handle was gone. I decided to make a wooden handle for it. I got a 45 Auto casing from @Redfisher and thought that would be a great replacement for the ball end.

I made the handle in a low tech way with no lathe. I had a small piece of walnut, and I marked the ends with circles the size of the casing. Then, I rounded it off down to the circles using my drum sander. After some hand sanding and fitting the casing on the end, I turned to the razor end. I used my Dremel to make the hole to receive the handle top.

Thanks, Charlie. Being an old soldier, it is nice to have a hundred year old Army razor.
