Well guys and gals, it's official now: I've hit the 500 posts mark today :: Looking back I've really enjoyed the trip. But let's start at the beginning: In November 06 I started out with "real" wetshaving and soon registered on a German wetshaving board. After that I registered on B&B and since February I'm here too. What I really love about this place is YOU guys and ladies! It's just like a big family here, everyone's nice, helpful and we have a helluva time here discussing our hobby. After registering here I somehow stopped posting over at B&B (I'm still going stong on that German board, though). The reason for me posting over here is - simply put - this lovely community. B&B is too big for me - it's a great source of information but it's a pain in the - you know where - to look at the hundreds of posts being written every day to keep track of what's going on. Here it's much smaller, more comfy and less anonymous so I really enjoy my stay here and will continue to enjoy it in the future. I'll take this opportunity to thank everybody - the admins, the mods and all you people here at the shave den! Here's to a great future of TSD and to my next 500 posts ::
Stop it I am getting misty. :rofl Congrats on the Postings, Looking forward to reading hundreds/thousands more from you.
Congratulations on hitting 500 Klaus. I know what you mean about B&B. I joined before membership exploded and I saw it change quite drastically, it lost a lot of that friendly community spirit which attracted me in the first place. When I first joined you could log on and recognise all the names of everyone else who was online, nowadays I hardly recognise anyone. There are still a lot of great people on B&B, but like you say it's just too big now. Anyway, enjoy the milestone and I hope you had an especially great shave to mark it. Regards, Alex
Congrats Klaus... I think I'll never ever reach the 500... But I'm glad to be a member and love the very amiable members, people and friends..., thanks a lot...
Thanks very much, everybody for your lovely comments, they're much appreciated! :: @Alex: that's exactly what I was talking about! In the beginning I knew most of the "important" guys and it was great to read their posts. But the last few months... I don't know, it just exploded. 30% of all new topics are now opened by newbies asking questions a simple search would've answered. But well, let's not rant - let's enjoy our time here @Thomas: Oh, I'm sure, you'll hit 500 in no time
Awesome! Congratulations Klaus :eatdrink004 :: Its a pleasure to have you with us here, you are invaluable to this community.
