Perusing one of the shave forums, I can't recall which one, I noticed in someone's signature for blades they had Gillette 7 O'Clock Blacks. I haven't seen these before, not that I'm a blade conisseur by any means. Heck, I haven't even tried any of the other Gillette 7 O'Clocks: Green Permasharp, Green Super Stainless, or Yellow Sharp Edge. While we're on the topic, what are the differences between the different 7 O'Clocks? Anyone have a link to the Blacks, or are they not made anylonger?
http://www.razorandbrush.com/barberiablade.html Theyre about 10 down. I havent tried them or heard anything about them. I think the difference is the origin. I use the yellows myself. Havent tried the others yet.
Here is a very good review of the blacks, and the main difference seems to be that the Yellows and the Indian Greens are coated, while the Russian greens are not--making them less smooth than the other two.
