..and hopefully 'goodies.' I am fascinated by some of these old Sheffield blades. To actually find a couple of vintage razors with their original pins ands with wood scales is an added bonus. One is stamped Marshes & Shepherd, Sheffield (1824-1846) on the bottom in the first two pics—and I've seen photos of the unique 'diamond-shaped' tang on other models. The other razor is still a mystery, but the offset tang/spine/lower jimps is intriguing. It may not be nearly as old as the M&S, possibly from mid to latter half of the 19th century. My hope is to restore these carefully, without much invasion nor altering. I've always want to try and shave with a nearly 200 year old razor. These should be fun to clean & hone up!
Kevin; Looks good. I need to post a picture of the Straigh Razors, I got from my Aunt's house . I just need to get the ambition to do it. Can't wait to see how they turn out after you do your magic.
