I was offered a Revisor razor today and it's mine as soon as we figure out a value. Anybody have any ideas on how much these usually go for in general.

    Never heard of them.

But here's a bump, just for you. :)

btw, a more descriptive title for your thread may help some. The forums full of questions, ya know? ;)

from pics that looks like a nice one, you can still find a few for sale new at about $150 more or less to give you a rough idea, that one looks like it has a MOP inlay but is it a 5/8 or 6/8 and does it have any hone wear all things to consider, hope it helps

I love my Revisors! Not that they shave any better than other good razors, but they just seem to "fit" my hand well. They're great razors.

That one looks like a fancier one. I paid about $145 for a similar NOS Revisor on ebay a year or so ago. I think shavingshop.com used to sell plain NOS Revisors for between $125 and $150 or so. It looks like classicshaving has a plain 5/8 up for $130.

EDIT: FWIW - note that Revisors run a little big. What is often described as a "5/8" is really more like 11/16 and the "6/8" is closer to 13/16.

    LOL--Thanks JoAnna

Well I bought it. The fellow who is selling it to me is a great guy and is letting it go for just under $100. It is an NOS also. Heck of a deal I think:)

It sure is unique from all the other razors I've seen. I can't wait to get it to see it up close and try it out. The great guy selling it to me is making it shave ready for me.
