So, this old Made Rite has seen better days and I wanted to give it a few more years of service so I stripped off the old finish with the idea of staining it. I don't know what the stuff was but it turned to a sticky gooey mess when I put some stripper on it. It was a hard white material that was painted and was very difficult to get off. It actually stained the wood white in some areas, and the wood didn't have much of a grain pattern so I decided to just paint it with some Krylon Hunter Green spray paint that I had. Nothing fancy, but I didn't have any green brushes until now.

I replaced the original knot with one of the new 18mm high grade boar knots from TGN, which I'm looking forward to trying out. Anyway, here are some before and after shots of it. Thanks for looking!

Great Job Tom. Looks great. You would never know just how well used that brush was if you had not posted the pictures.

Thanks! I used it this morning with outstanding results and I'm sure it will only get better as it breaks in. The new line of boar knots available at TGN are going to be great for restorations and new brushes alike.
