A Visit to Pasteur's Pharmacy

It's been far too long since I've seen my friend Karen, so I went to visit her in Manhattan for a nice long weekend. Since she was still working, I had a few hours to kill after I got in. My first stop after I got off the bus (after the bathroom) was to Pasteur's Pharmacy. They have two locations, but I only visited the one on 62nd and Lexington. Outside it's not very remarkable, but inside the isles are very narrow and stacked from 6" off the floor to about 9' high. There was just about anything you could want stocked in the store. I was toting around my 70 lb pack, so I didn't spend as much time as I liked there. I did buy a Futur, TOBS Avocado, Arko Moist, Arko Moist, Ingram Cream, Cremo Cream and a pack of the Russian made 7 O'clock Super Plats. I wanted to see how they compared to the Indian made ones.

The cashier was apologetic that they didn't have a larger selection of samples for men, but she tossed in 20 assorted Jack Black samples for me to try. It was really nice seeing all the variety in one spot. If you happen to be in Manhattan, it is worth a visit.

Hah. Yeah I didn't see any of the Russian products there. I was hoping to pick up a tube of Tet-A-Tet. I did purchase both the Ingrams and Cremo because of your SOS posts. I figure I will give the Ingrams a shot tomorrow for Menthol Monday.

Thanks Jeff it was great seeing her.

It was even better making a new friend. NYC may be in my future.

+100! the thing that holds me back is scents and being unsure...
I first saw this post on my phone the other day and was like "oh cool" but now seeing the full size pictures... I'm in lust!

Wow that's awesome! I wish we had a place locally that sold that much stuff! A lot of the higher end products I would love to try but I don't want to spend the money on them just to be disappointed in the scent or whatever. If we had somewhere that sold them like that I would be more willing to try them out.
