Thanks to David of central Florida for pointing me to mr razor on another subject I id'd my grandpops razor as a "1920's unusual presentation set". Anyone else ever seen one or know more about why it's unusual? As to what it"s worth, this one is priceless, but I'm always curious of market value and rarity.
Don't think I could bring myself to mess with it...He's been gone fo 29 years, likely used it the day he passed. I gave it the scrubbing bubbles treatment, shaved with it and put it back in the case. Would really like to know why Mr. Razor considers it unusual...
1920's Old Type. It's unusual because of the case shape, more than likely. Have you ever thought about getting the correct blade holder for your set.
I look at family heirlooms as being "priceless" the market value is based on what someone is willing to pay at any given time. What you have is a very special razor that holds a great deal of family history that can now be passed down to future generations. Enjoy. Kerry
