Hey guys, I went to Wally World the other day, looking for an inexpensive AS. I smelled all they had, and didn't really like the Aqua Velva, Afta, and the other one I can't remember. I came across the last bottle they had of the Adidas AS in the silver/black box. I love love love the smell of it, so I bought it ($4.50). I used it today after my cartridge shave (still haven't received the rest of my DE goods) and it did a really nice job for me. I was wondering if anybody else has used this, and what really IS the difference between one AS and the next, other than use preference of scent?
I'm not sure why, but I've tried several of the Adidas aftershaves and they've all made my face feel like I got powdered with thermite. Meanwhile, Old Spice is a short quick burn then a nice cooling sensation. Differences chemically, I have no clue, but I do have to say I like some of the Adidas scents.
This stuff is the bomb on a budget. Wetshavers use it because its handy at Walmart but its skincare is above average for price. You'd be hard put to find a more soothing splash. Its scent is cologne level strong but not day to night , and the scent is young rather than old guy thats why you probably put back the Velva and didn't try Old Spice or Skin Bracer. Dynamic Pulse is the only Adidas aftershave scent I have seen at Walmart however just like there are many Adidas scented colognes so its the same for their aftershaves but I don't see them retail I think the other different scents are available in the UK and Europe only.
I've never used Adidas Pulse, but their Ice Dive is in my regular rotation (to me, it smells like Aqual Velva Ice Sport, but with some added citrus notes). I've also used Adidas Moves and loved it. I love their scents and the skin conditioning properties. You can't beat it for the price!
I think the pulse is great stuff. Smells good and lasts longer than most of the AS I have. It's even better with some menthol added to it.
I'll reinvigorate this thread - I use the Adidas on a daily basis and love it. It doesn't sting my face too badly, and the scent is wonderful. I am thinking about purchasing another scent (the Deep Energy), just because I like the sporty scent so much, but feel a woodsier scent would work well for evening shaves before nights out with the wife!
Adidas Pulse is used in my rotation, I think its a very clean/athletic smell. Mild burn and the scent lasts for a good while. Overall a good product
I don't care too much for it. The only aftershave splash I use is Osage Rub, and that is very occasionally when I do that.
I have a few scents of it, and use it regularly in the summer. It is a bit drying, but that works for me in the summer.
I got after reading this post and I think it's fine, has long lasting scent doesn't dry my skin but I always throw on a light moisturizer over the as... Smell is what I like besides using Pinaud
It may be inexpensive, but people of the feminine persuasion seem to really like its scent - and it offers very good skin care.
Well at $4.50 the price is ok. Is it sold anyware else besides Wally World? What do they smell like ? Ice Dive: if it smells like Aqua Velva I'll definately give it a try. Dynamic Pulse..Deep Energy..Moves.. I use: Aqua Velva ice blue and sport Mennen skin bracer Proraso Clubman original,special reserve and bayrum Lilac Vegital Stevens bayrum Florida water.......
it definately doesnt smell like aqua velva, it has more of a sporty smell too it, i feel as if it works for ppl who dont want that "old person or barbershop" scent, might be geared for the younger cats

I wished I liked Adidas, but I don't.... As a Budget AS, I prefer Stetson or Mustang . I feel like I'm missing something after seeing all this love for Adidas.
