Does anyone in the D.C. or Potomac, Md area know of a favorite store for buying Shave goods. I will be visiting family and thought it would be interesting to visit a bricks and morter store since we have none around here. Doug
The Grooming Lounge. I've bought stuff from there before through mail order but you'll have to look up where there at.
Thanks guys and this will be a great help even though SHMBO may have a different opinion. We are looking forward to the trip and a visit to these stores will be fun for me. :thanksDoug
The Grooming Lounge is also a high end barbershop that you can get a haircut and shave. I don't know how much it costs but I'm sure it's not cheap.
If you make it to the Baltimore area, The Quintessential Gentleman has shave stuff and str8 shaves. Haven't been myself but I have a buddy who loves it.
Baltimore really is a cool city if you do make it this far north. You'll have your hands full with D.C. by itself though. Have fun either way.
Yes, I was just informed that we would be taking the grandsons to the aquarium in Baltimore. So it looks like I get to tell everyone to sit in the car while I look at shave stuff. Probably better take the keys with me:happy097 If you think of any more let me know; I will get on my daughters computer but not very good at this when traveling.....geek wannabe?::lam
Look at this map. It shows you where the Aquarium is and TQG. You are going to be really close. The aquarium is pretty cool too. The have some nioce sharks and a sea turtle and plenty of other fish displays too. Top notch aquarium. Be sure to check out the Australian side too, there is a rainforest that has birds, snakes, bats, and may other critters in it. The dolphins just had babies too but I think one of the babies died so they may have the exhibit closed. Make sure you walk around and check out the Inner Harbor area, it is really cool. The Star Spangled Banner was written a few miles from the Inner Harbor during the war of 1812 I think. Very rich in history. Across the harbor from the aquarium is Federal Hill. Half of the founding fathers played very significant roles in Baltimore and have all sorts of stuff dedicated to them up there. It is really a neat area. You'll be about 20 miles or so from Anthony (Dashmaverick) and I when you are in Baltimore, he's a few miles up the road from me and we are right up I -83 from the city. If the Orioles aren't home, you can walk through Camden Yards. That is a free treat right there. Absolutely beautiful ballpark. Enjoy!
Bob, good morning and thanks for the map and great suggestions. We're packing sandwiches for three grandsons before starting out. May job is to sharpen knives as nobody else in the family does it...23 knives, mostly paring. i just had my daughter read your post so your suggestions are in our plans. Still getting used to this new portable that I got for belated Father's Day::lam
