I was at a favorite sushi restaurant recently and noticed the servers using crock pots for hot towels. Sure would be convenient to keep one in the bathroom.. new mini one for $20 shipped on Amazon is giving me the "prime" one-click itch. Has anyone here used this method? I'm thinking if you plug it in before a shower it would be perfect. I know many wetshavers use microwaves or hot tap, but I'm not trying to run back and forth from the kitchen, and my sinks don't get quite hot enough (heater temp is not my decision).
This sounds like a brilliant idea. Let me know how it goes! Like you I am just using the hot tap water. If it works out I see a crock pot my bathroom in the near future.
This is exactly what my barber uses and it works great, albeit it is hidden behind a curtain so it not so hideous looking.
Yeah I actually went and bought one for $10 at a discount store that had them on sale. It works great.
As I said in another thread - if your tap water is not hot enough, try boiling a kettle. You can either plug it in just outside the bathroom so it is really hot, or boil it and take it in and let it stand while you do what you need to do (provided you are not an "hour in the shower" kind of person) it will still be hot enough when you get to it. Could always wrap a towel around the kettle to further insulate it while it is waiting.
