Theyre both asian FWD work horses with good reputation. The TSX is just the european version of the accord. Nissan has employed new desingers to create the new line up of Nissan body styles that they refer to as "liquid motion" due to its flowing lines. Both are available with comparable engines. The honda will have a higher value when going up for resale. Theyre both great cars, but I prefer the Honda. Theyres also a TON of trim levels.

Nope, the old Ford still gettin' it done.

The little woman needs a new "accessory". :happy102

The Ford will become my car, I think and she is letting me get a Bike (Softail, anyone?) but then I will probably have to give up my car.

Altima: Sporty. Connected to the road. A driver that performs.

Accord: Smooth, quiet. Very predictable. A ride that does the job in comfort.

Just my two cents worth. I'm drivng my second Accord. I just couldn't relate to the Altima.

We're one year into our first Honda, a V6 Accord, after owning 8 or 9 Toyotas over the years. It's as good or maybe even better than the day we drove it off the lot and I'd buy another one tomorrow with no hesitation.

The driving quality of a car is sort of an intangible but I think the Honda is loaded with it, along with design and build quality. Our other car is a 7 series BMW so we're used to a pretty high standard and have not been disappointed. There's a reason these cars hold resale value as well as they do, and I get it after owning one.

    And the winner is...

    2008 Honda Accord!

Ask my wife and she will tell you "The cute white one".

Darn it, I didn't get a chance to chime in! But I was going to say Honda anyway. The wife is driving a 2003 Accord that feels as tight as the day we took it off the lot, and yours truly is abusing the environment in a 2005 Pilot. As far as I'm concerned, Honda is...:happy088

P.S. Love that new body style!

Congratulations, Will. I also have a high opinion of Honda, but I must say that the design of the European models is far better than that of the American ones. For instance, here’s our Civic:

Gross. I have to admit, the euro designed civic is rather hideus and looks somewhere between a wanna be masarati and the starship enterprise. As for the accord, it is a slightly more upscale version than that sold in the us. The euro accord is marketed in the US as the acura TSX. Not much of a difference between the two save a couple interior panels.

I can see the analogy with the starship enterprise, not with any Maserati that I know of. If you don’t like it, I guess Honda did their homework and accommodated to each market. :D

To expand on the euro accord, it is not quite just the euro version but rather their more race version as it has been it is marketed as the Accord Euro R in Japan and when they first brought it to the US in they put it under the Acura line as the TSX.(Prior generations had slightly diffent body as the first gen TSX had those differences form the Accords of the same years, not including the engine.)

I am a former Honda freak after all. :)

The ultimate stealth vehicle for raiding local antique malls.... Hondas and Nissans are WAY too visible! :)
