My Mom had Dementia for a few years before she passed. We decided to keep her home, and it was a little difficult at first, but it was the best thing we did for her. The hospital that was taking care of her has a program in which they would pick up seniors and have them in their Senior center for the day. They did it about three times a week and this would keep her busy and others around her age. She always seemed happier when coming back home from being there. And I always had a TV on while she stayed in her room, usually classic TV shows.
