After a lot of trial and error (well mostly error), and quite a bit of time between the hone and the strop, I have managed to get all three of my straights to the stage where they pass the hanging hair test, I know there is a lot of controvercy about whether this test is a good evaluation of the shave readiness of a razors edge, and most say that the only true test is to shave test it, but will someone with more experience than me please give guidance as to whether I am in the right ballpark ???? Many Thanks
If they're popping hairs then you should be ready for the shave test, just be sure to strop well to smooth everything up.
