I ordered a 24mm Shavemac finest silver tip fan knot at the beginning of the month and I'm ashamed to admit this completes the trip for me. I've owned all the hair types now.

This is just my personal opinion. I think the pure is an excellent value and the DO1 3 band is as plush as it gets. Notice that's quite a gap in hair quality but for some reason I enjoy Shavemac pure. I could see doing a DO1 3 band fan at some point again but it isn't like I really need a brush either. I'll just consider it the one that got away. Right now, I have a pure and the recently purchased 2 band silver tip. I have not shaved with the knot, just did one hand lather with it and a face lather this morning. I made the handle right after ordering the knot so I had an exact plan on what I was going to do. Slightly over sized hole and set the fan sub 2/1 ratio. And it turned out "right". Here's my small herd of 2 bands and one pure. The question is which one cost $14 and deserves to be there. Sometimes the differences in in performance can be almost infinitesimal, not so with price. It'll be interesting to see which one ends up being used in the 2 slot. # 1, right now, is a boar.
