Many years ago, one of my best friends and colleagues was an immigrant from China named Hans Olufsen. Now he was obviously Chinese, so I often wondered why he changed his name to that. I didn't ask him at first, but when I got to know him a lot better, I decided to ask him about his name. One night after work, we went to a bar for a few drinks to unwind. This is what he told me:
