Picked up a $15 Gillette FB Date Code E1. Decent enough shape not great, the price seemed alright.
Only real issue outside of some cosmetics is that the handle mid handle spins in-dependably from the bottom TTO mechanism. Everything functions and is there except no clicks on the numbered settings.
Nothing bent, some brassing and scratches but no corrosion pitting.

I'm not sure what the heck you're saying is the problem.

Handle spins, Bottom TTO mechanism spins and Number dial spins. Only the bottom post and number setting should spin. Dial knob does not click.

The center handle spins. That's pretty clear. Only the adjustment ring and TTO knob are supposed to move.

You'll need to disassemble the razor to do a diagnosis.

I would email Matt at Razor Emporium. They are very helpful and responsive.

There's a guy on B&B named Captain Murphy that repairs razors. He's got a couple youtube videos on taking apart a fatboy as well as putting it back together that might help you diagnose what's going on.

I was trying to remember that name.
Watching a few of his vids will put you on the right track.
I'm going to guess that the entire handle corroded and is no longer pressed together properly.

I have contacted both Captain Murphy and Dr Terror, both have replied with informative responses.
I might add that Dr.Terror's name is ill suited. He's not terrible at all. :)

Matt is great and responsive. Due to the vast currency exchange rates and shipping costs from Canada. The costs involved are not justifiable in this case.

Thanks for all the info guys.
