I just ordered one from somewhere cheaper than the Zebra site. Have been wanting an old style drafting pencil with the big knurled grip...would prefer a 0.9 lead but can get by with 0.7. Never really cared for Zebras but this one's grip sold me. Have read nothing but positive reviews. Looks tough, don't it. Anyone use this one?
I've never used a Zebra that I'm aware of. I generally use a drafting pencil too, but I get them from an art supply store where I can feel the grip and heft.
Looks nice. Before all my hand issues, I had a drafting and drawing background and loved pens and pencils. I cannot write or draw with the control like I once was able to (freehanded straight lines / sketch drawing). This might have been a choice of mine back in the day. Looks nice. Let us know how it performs.
And it's only $5 delivered! I've got a wide variety of abandoned plastic mech. pencils that turn up all over the place around here, some nice, some basic, some junky. I wanted one to replace all of them.
Got it today. All the plastics are now obsolete. This one lives up to the reviews, it may be the finest non-professional mechanical pencil I've ever used. Mildly hefty, well balanced and a fine knurled grip that works perfectly. Highly recommended; I may order a 2nd one for backup.
