I'll bet Aqua Velva is one of the earliest after shave lotions that I can personally remember. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't the oldest, but it has a LONG history. Anyone know the OLDEST "after Shave" out there??
My memory remembers the commercial, "There's something about an Aqua Velva man." Old Spice is right up there, too.
I remember Old Spice ads on TV. What was the tagline? If it weren't for Old Spice you wouldn't have been born?
AV was originally sold as mouthwash. It's nowhere close to being one of the oldest. 4711 was founded in 1792.
Yes. 4711 is from Koln (Cologne), Germany. They created Kolnisch-wasser, which the French call Eau de Cologne or literally "Koln water".
