I like this shave creme because it has the Benzocaine in it and it ever so lightly numbs your skin and is excellent as far as razor burn and irritation.

I was wondering if anybody knows of any other shaving cremes, splashes or balms out there with Benzocaine properties in them.

Thanks...and happy holidays to everyone! ::poze

That sounds quite interesting. I haven't heard of any with benzocaine, but I can vouch for some of the heavily mentholated creams can be slightly numbing.... Ingrams and TSD avalanche come to mind. I can't decide if I like or hate the benzocaine idea personally, but which ever it is, I feel intrigued to try it.

    Thanks sparky5693

I appreciate the feedback and I think I'll try the Ingrams and TSD avalanche. Try Aramis and let me know what you think. It comes in a jar and is available at any big name department store.

I didn't mean to give you all the wrong impression that I 'normally' use a medicated shave cream because I don't. I do like some shave cremes with menthol in them(I'm a menthol addict e.g. Osage rub, Tryphon Mentolo balm, and Proraso balm).

I have been trying an old Merkur DE that I bought at a flea market and I use Williams shaving soap or Palmalive green or red. I usually only do two or three passes...two with the grain and one across.

I just happen to have a half jar of Aramis in my stash...I haven't used it in a long time...and I thought I would get some other opinions from you more experienced shavers. Thanks!
