Are there any blades that you have used, but won't buy again, because of poor performance? This is a take-off from another thread I posted on "soaps you won't buy again because of poor performance" thread. So many products in the shaving world are YMMV. It just goes to show how one man's (woman's) pleasure is another man's (woman's) poison.
Personna Lab Blues. My experience with them was poor QC and therefore poor performance. Others love them.
Dorco 300s, apparently honed on concrete. Painfully dull blades that I'll never buy or use again. In fact, they've turned me off trying any other Dorco blades.
Dollar store (Family Dollar, Dollar General, etc.) Vietnam-made blades. Also, although they were a PIF, the Tiger-3H blades from the Czech Republic.
Super-Max Platinum. Horrible razor blade, for me. I can honestly say this was less than a one and done blade.
I've had consistently bad experiences with Shark blades but the worst by far were Zorrik Super Stainless. Fortunately the Zorriks came in a blade sampler pack so I only had a single 5 pack to go through. Unfortunately Shark blades seem to be used as fillers for blade sampler packs so I still have a bunch of them left.
VDH, Derby, and Dorco...pretty much the only plades I will buy again are astra's, feather, and personna's.
Oh all right I wasn't going to say it out of fear of an angry mob coming after me but I will not buy feathers again...great blade...yes...but it is completely useless to me halfway through a shave...just dulls out for me.... no point buying them and using two blades for each shave. YMMV...
Blades I wouldn't buy any more? Any of them. I'm set for life. This doesn't even show the 180+ Feathers and all of the SE and injectors.
