3 months ago when my arko sticks arrived box of 12 shave stick Ive tried it once and its wonderful it lathers very well , smells like lemon due to citronella last for many ages its tallow based shaving soap it is a turkish delight. Turkish barbers use these soaps
One of my favorite soap's,the scent reminds me of Ivory soap,to others Tidy Bowl comes to mind. One thing you can't complain about it's a real lather monster and a steal at 2 clams a stick.
Great soap ,the only complaint I've ever heard about it is the scent. There is a new stick around called Tweex ,in a blue wrapper also from Turkey I believe.Has anyone tried it or seen a review on it ?
I really enjoy Arko. I remember the first time I used it and was shocked at how much lather jumped off my face. Great soap and great smell!
I had to try arko after everyone else had been posting about it. It took awhile for me to come around, but it is a regular in my travel kit now. I unwrapped mine and let it sit out for about two weeks to mellow the smell a bit. Fantastic lather and shave for me, everyone should at least give it a try.
I have heard good things about Arko and will soon have to get some; along with half a dozen other sticks. I have used 2 different brands of shave sticks and definitely like them better than a puck.
I wonder how long a box of 12 Arko sticks would last? Gotta be multiple generations, passed down from Father to Son, right?
The Arko stick I am using now has lasted me over two months of daily use and is 3/4 used up. They are excellent shave sticks, very easy to lather and giving a slick comfortable shave. The scent is sandalwood and citrus, which I find quite pleasant.
Boy: Mr. Turtle, how many shaves does it take to get to the end of a 12 Pack of Arko Sticks? Mr. Turtle: I've never even made it without PIFing. Ask Mr. Owl.
The Arko stick is one of my top favorites. The lather is a pleasure to work with, and I like the scent very much.
I hav currently started working in s Turkish barbers and they all use theses arko sticks unfortunately they can't Speke much English so I've tried to ask were you can buy them but no joy any ideas please
The Shave Den Shop has some in stock. http://www.theshavedenshop.com/index.php?_a=product&product_id=195 You can also search for them on eBay, there's a large number of vendors in Turkey who sell them in bulk.
just got my first stick brought over from Turkey by a Turkish mate of mine and gonna try it out in an hour or so. looks very old school!
A wonderful soap. Great lather and slick as ice. Cheap too! I don't mind the smell at all. What more could you want for shaving!
I love the Arko Sticks too...It's been my 'go to' since about 2 weeks after I rediscovered TWS...If I do use a cream. it's usually with the stick to make Uber-lather....
I love Arko. Great lather, great scent, great price. But I can understand that the scent isn't for everyone.
