Hmm. Reviews seem to indicate Astra SP's are not what they were a few years ago. Can anyone comment on this? Edit: B&B consensus seems to think nothing has changed, other than the etching, and the negative reviews are, by and large, "politically motivated."
That's a very good price... as good as when they first came out here and I um.... ensured myself sufficient supply. I can't comment on any possible changes in quality. My um... sufficiency .... won't expire for another 15? years.
That's a good price. I thought about it for a second, but I rarely use DE blades any more and I am still sitting on more than enough to last the next decade.
all 600+ of mine are the earlier etching/inking.fine blades.i like the blues as well.should last awhil. i use more gillette 7 oclock at present..

New on left, older on right (2016-2018 purchase date). The printing is nicer on the current shipper box and blade boxes. Ditto for the blade stamp. The blades appear to have the same thickness and flexibility. I'll try a head to head shave test this weekend. I have a sneaking suspicion they will shave exactly the same. Edit: South Africa is listed as a distributor on the new pack, and Istanbul, which is on the old pack, is not mentioned on the new one.
