I've received a few PMs from TSD members asking about my razor restore queue and exactly how many are awaiting 'new life.' I usually respond with something along the lines of, "umm…...a lot!" I decided to attempt to put some semblance of organization in my production line so snapped a series of labeled photos and began prioritizing the list based upon the complexity of the restoration process. Obviously the more involved restores take longer and so I need to allocate more time. All of the razors depicted are my own so those outside requests for restoration work take priority. Some require extensive work, others a simple cleaning and honing. I've three additional SRs that I still need to shoot and categorize in the line-up. That puts the current line up at around 50, not including the two currently disassembled on the bench. Looks as though I need to get crankin'…
Very nice Kevin! I bet its very relaxing and rewarding to be able take a razor from a non-usable state to a very much sought after razor. Kudos!!
File this post under, "See Honey, I'm not as bad as that guy!" (I should probably count my razors before I say that.)
