The humidity has finally abated as we have a gorgeous day that is warm but not oppressive.
Another superb shave this morning. I decided to use the DG/CL YRP collaboration. As with most of these two artisans collaborations, the scent is one that will continue to periodically surface throughout the day. Additionally, the lather whipped up by the boar brush is top notch providing the slickness to guarantee an irritation free shave.

The scent profile is as follows: “the uniquely distinct smell of yuzu citrus, enveloping the unmistakably recognizable smell of rose and the dry, woody scent of patchouli come together so all three work together in unison to create something greater than the sum of their parts.” To my nice it is a nice scent, but no one that knocks it out of the park. I have used this soap sparingly, reaching it for special occasions. I do like that I can smell it throughout the day, it just will not be a frequent flyer. I think I have reached for it three times in the past year. I may have to up it’s usage just a little just so I can finish off before my 70th birthday.

I used my Parker 94R today. It is moderately aggressive and a pleasant shaver.

Razor - Parker 94R
Blade - Perma-Sharp (2nd)
Soap - Mudder Focker (not as rich of a lather as say TOBS but slick enuff. I may have added too much water)
Brush - Simpson T2 Trafalgar
Pre-shave Proraso Blue
After Shave - Thayers Toner & Geo F Trump "Skin Food"

Pleasant 3 pass shave WTG, ATG, XTG got me BBS. I must say that I like the synthetic brushes best. After I was done shaving face, I used remainder from bowl and brush to wash my face and cover my dome to shave that with the Hawk.

Alum gave no feedback. No cuts, nicks, or weepers.
