Awaiting a new arrival not quite shave related.

Just ordered this bad boy Saturday from Delmonico hatters. Can't wait to Dapper up with this and a clean shave! Gonna look like a proper gent.

For those curious what brand it is. It's a Stetson Stratoliner. With fall and winter soon to arrive I have a feeling it's gonna be my best friend!

Nice, during the cooler weather I switch between a Stetson Temple,

And a Stetson Mercury, depending on what I'm wearing.

 

I contemplated the temple for a while. It an awesome looking lid. That Mercury is slick too! I'll be switching between the Stratoliner that's on the way and my Skyline that's in my profile pic. I imagine the Stratoliner will get more attention since cowboy hats are common here in Wyoming.

I always wanted a hat like that but it doesn't look good on me with my face profile. But these kind of hats do.

 

Nice! I like flat caps and newsboys. I got a cheap $10 flat cap from Wally World. Sadly I can't wear it. The Mrs absolutely despises it haha.

Nothing wrong with second hand! Especially round these parts! Bet some folks favorite razors are second hand. Same goes with a good gear. TBH it's nice just getting away from all caps non stop. Course I had to start with a cowboy hat a couple years back since cowboy state and all haha.

 

I really enjoy the oilcloth in the rain or the cold.

 

The two Dries-bones I have run between $350 to $450 and pick them up for ~$60 each ... no regrets!

 

I enjoy those hat, but wife thinks there just fashion hats; not realizing bald heads get cold. I'll probably get another soon.

 

I picked up a Kangol 504 this passed spring. It's been great during hot weather. Might look into a wool & silk lined in a similar style for cool months.

 

Thanks for posting. I am always looking for new places to get a nice hat. My problem is I have a bucket size head and finding good hats that fit can sometimes be difficult.
