Shaves well and covers the ends of the blade preventing potential nicks from carelessness.

Baili BD179 twist to open razor is in my rotation. If I'm in a hurry, I give it a try. It gives a nice close shave besides this model is budget friendly.

I have three designs by Baili. All three are good but here are my very subjective opinions:

BD179 TTO - it’s larger than my vintage Gillette Superspeeds and a bit more aggressive. I generally prefer mid-aggressive razors but in this case I feel that flare-tip Superspeeds offer a much gentler shave while still being very efficient, while 40s style SS are very similar to Baili in feel but smaller and made with better materials.

Baili BT132/171 (I’ve seen it go by both designations). It’s a more aggressive of their 3-piece designs, and the most aggressive Baili razor I own (note, “aggressive” is a relative term here). It’s a good shaver, but compared to Maggard V3A or Pre-War (triangular slots) Tech, which are in in the same ballpark efficiency wise, I’d put it in the 3rd place with regard to comfort. Compared to this Baili, Maggard’s shave is as efficient and much more comfortable, the Pre-War Tech is a little more efficient, possibly a bit more comfortable, and a whole lot cooler since almost all of them were produced between 1939 and 1942.

Baili BD176 - this is the one to get, imho, because it does occupy a unique niche. It’s the most mild of 3, and comparable to a post-war Tech - but a little more aggressive and more efficient, while still a mild shaver. Feel-wise I’d compare it with a flare tip Superspeed, perhaps even a little more efficient.
