Yes, I know I am getting older, but this warning is for anyone who uses PayPal. Two days ago, I am making a purchase to a seller, with whom I have dealt with successfully in the past. I go to fill in his PayPal address and, unbeknownst to me (didn't catch it) another recipient's email address autofills. I sent him $$! (Good and Services, thank goodness) Embarrassed to say how much, but it was over a Franklin... Now what? I contacted the seller and he isn't responding. Am I out the money? Well, I was able to finally get a human being on the phone yesterday; explained the situation and she initiated a buyer's claim against the seller. He has 10 days to refund my money, or PayPal will step in and find in my favor and refund me. Yes, it's a hassle, but I got lucky. The moral? There are two. 1) Never but NEVER send anyone whom you do not PERSONALLY know $$ via Friends & Family. That money is gone and there is NO GETTING IT BACK. 2) Be vigilant before you hit the "send funds now" button and verify that you have the correct PP address of the seller. Hope this helps someone avoid the mess I found myself in.
