Can anyone give me some feedback on the best pins or fasteners to use on a scale restore of an old Wade & Butcher?

Depends on what you have and how authentic you want it to look. Is it a larger "bullseye" type pin with a large washer? Or is it just a straight-up nail-head looking pin you need? For basic hardware, check out the stickies at the top of the restoring section here. If you need the bullseye washer and pin, that takes a little more doing.

You might take a look here, I used three different washers and a Nickel silver pin to get a Bullseye look to these for a W&B

The only trick to getting them to look good, is to pay attention to how you stack the washers, if you look close at the washers, there is actually a domed side and a flat side to them, put the domed side up, and the flat side down as you stack, and they will look like a little beehive...
