If you had the choice: to choose only 1 Razor for Maximum Performance for Cut the most of stubble in your face but only in one Pass WTG shave
Of all the Razors on the market, which would you choose for this ?

    Thank you very much... :)

We just talked about our "razor benchmarks" in another thread ;) Well, even if you break it down to the top of their class, there are a few choices, depending on what style of razor you prefer

For me the one which all other DE Razors have to measure up to is the Merkur Futur Adjustable. Used wide open (on 6) I get a very nice DFS in just one pass.

My most efficient non-adjustable DE and a very close second is the Mühle R41

In the Single-Edge department I've been pleasantly surprised by the new RazoRock Hawk - an efficient yet smooth razor. And then there is the Feather Artist Club SS - VERY close shaves with just one pass, but they call it Pain Stick for a reason

Well, you'll get a variety of opinions! I don't know much at all about razors that are currently available on the market. I have older razors that I really enjoy. They are also SE and injectors for the most part.

My choice for your question is the Schick G1 injector. It's a terrific little razor. If I had one choice to do a one-pass shave I would always reach for it. The G1 would be my stranded-on-a-desert-island razor.

It doesn't work like that, IMO. It's like asking what kind of wrench works best if you only tighten the bolt half way.

I'm with @PLAla about current production razors. But I personally find that the type "E" Schick injector with a Chinese Schick blade does the best job for me. Again said with the standard disclaimer: YMMV.

It would have to be the Schick Type H or the PAL Injecto-Matic. :happy036: OK, you can add the Schick C3 to the list as well. :happy093:

I'd like to weigh in on this, being as I am mostly a 1 pass shaver. Multi-pass shaves tend to cause me irritation and ingrown hairs, especially on my neck.
A careful and deliberate 1 pass shave (with touch-ups), by an experienced shaver using an aggressive razor, can give as close and clean a shave as one could ask for.
My current favorite razor is The General by Colonial Razors, using a Feather AC Pro Super blade. The Bunny (injector) Razor is really the very best, but it's not generally available.
    Otherwise, my favorite injector razor is the Pal Adjustable; my favorite DE is the iKon Tech, followed by the Muhle R41 (2011 over 2013);
my favorite SE 's are the Gem MMOC and the Ever Ready 1914. I've never tried the Ever Ready Streamline (because of price and availability), though I've heard it's the tops.
In my opinion, if you need three passes to get a damn fine shave, then there's something wrong with either your razor, your blade, your technique, or all three.
However if you simply enjoy the process of lathering and shaving, and desire to prolong and extend your shaving pleasure, I offer no criticism. Please enjoy.
    Toodles.

This may work in your case however I'm going to disagree. I regularly use aggressive razors, slim set on 9, Schick type g&e, red tip, and PAL adjustable set at max. There's no way I can get a clean close shave with one pass. I consider myself as an experienced shaver, with a heavy beard. I wouldn't say that I am alone requiring two to three passes. I would say that I can get a socially acceptable shave with one pass, but not close enough for my wife to want to rub chins with me:)

I have a friend of mine that does a one pass WTG. As long as he has been shaving, and that has been a while, he has never been able to do ATG, without irritation. Now matter the soap or the razor. Always Gillette DEs. He finally settled on a Super Adjustable set at 6 and one pass WTG. Hasn't had irritation in years.

I know this is a little out of the box, but have you thought of a well honed Straight Razor?
Or, perhaps a a Vintage Wilkinson Sword Empire Razor, with a modern Gem blade. It was the original adjustable safety razor. Plus, they look cool.
