To me - none of the above ;)

My favorite: D.R. Harris Sandalwood soap. But since everybody has his/her own preferences, you might actually like something else. The topic of soap scents is almost as controversial as blade preferences.

I like Proraso sandalwood, but it is on the earthy side, AOS sandalwood (vintage tallow version) is a very nice scent. TOBS is a bit on the cologne side of sandalwoods, but it also a nice scent, it just depends on what you prefer.

I have been really enjoying the Stirling sandalwood after shave balm sample, and will definitely be ordering the soap and a full-size after shave.

Penhaligon Opus 1870. I really don't like sandlewood scent but 1870 is amazing.

I am no expert, but according to fora legend, 'true'/'pure' sandalwood is extremely expensive and used sparingly in most products. Interpretations and combinations abound. AOS sandalwood appeals to me. DR Harris Sandalwood AS may very well be the closest thing to a "true' sandalwood scent I have found. Proraso red is a very green and raw sandalwood which I also find appealing.

I have a sample of Trumpers Sandalwood skin food which also feels absolutely wonderful post shave. I'll definitely buy the large bottle.

Proraso Red is my favorite currently available sandalwood.
Reef Point made a very good one, too.

A little off the beaten path is my choice. Yardley Gold, made in India. It is only around $12 for 100 ml. It's my idea of what sandalwood scents should smell like.

I didn't know Proraso had put out the Red Aftershave yet.

I would say in the case of sandalwood(and for this topic), it'd be a sandalwood aftershave that smells more like sandalwood than sandalwood ITSELF does.

    True.
I have about half a dozen different sandalwood shave soaps, and no two of them smell the same.

I meant the soap, but I have seen photos of an aftershave... I hope it becomes available around here at some point.
