    Hey,

I have come across a great looking razor that uses a TRAC II cartridge. There are several options. I'm thinking of buying the Personna TWIN II Plus Cartridges. Anyone have advise on the best brand?

Vintage Wilkinson Sword (Made in England) ones. Hard to find, unfortunately.

Tim, I use a Trac II occasionally when I travel. The Personna blades work well for me. I haven't tried any others.

Yes, the Personnas are good. But not as good as some of the vintage cartridges (but that's the same with DE blades really).

I prefer my Atra to a Trac II. I use Dorco Comfort Thin II in it, but they are not compatible with the Trac II handle.

I think the Personna carts are as good as any around today or back when. The biggest difference vintage to now was the addition of a useless lube strip. I tried the Dorco Comfort Twin but it's way too light for my taste, the twin carts are good as are most Dorco products but I never tried them with an Atra handle, don't have one.

When I used the Trac 2 I preferred a non-lube strip blade (hard to find). I found some Gillette T-2 blades at "Razors Direct". They also had Personna T-2 blades too.

Dorco's T-II compatibles are about all I use. I think they're a buck seventy-five now at Dollar General. I've done side-by-side with new Gillette T-IIs and the difference was negligible, but vintage are better.

+1 on the Dorco Comfort Thin II. Atra-type but excellent for the price.
