Birth Year Razor

How many of you have a razor made in your birth year? I kind of talked the SO into agreeing that the only razor purchase I make until my actual birthday in September would be if I find my birth year - justification being that something so specific won't be around very long. (and I have one in my radar... shhhhh!)

 

unfortunately there are no Fatboys for my birth year

 

I just thought it would be kind of fun to have one. If I don't get this one I'll keep looking, but I hope I do.

 

I'm keeping my eyes open for a birthyear razor too, but I'm patient, I'll find one eventually.

 

Exactly. The fun is in the looking. After we get one, then what? LOL

 

We shave with em!! And find some other razor that we just have to have!!

Got my birth year/quarter Super Adjustable last week and have been shaving with it the past couple days

 

I'm trying for a complete set of Gillettes from 1955(A-2).. So far I have a Ball End Tech, Red,Silver, and Blue Flair Tips and Diplomat. The Diplomat (A-1)is the correct year, but wrong quarter and it's missing one of the beauty caps on the end...I'm not sure if there are any others out there, like a Fat Handle Tech or Aristocrat? If anyone knows please pass it on...

I was born in September, 1970, I haven't thought of getting a birth razor, I'm not sure what's out there for 1970 but I'd like to find out.

 

Super Adjustable and black handle SS. Not sure if there were still Techs but probably.

 

The Super Adjustable in both long and short handle was made in 1970,as was the Tech, Knack and Techmatic....Your year code for 1970 is "P".

 

Has anyone here shaved with a Knack? I just don't like the look of them.

 

I definitely like it. Yesterday, I shaved with it on 5 and it was a bit mild so I tried today's shave on 6 and I think it's right on now. I might try 7 tomorrow but 6 felt pretty good so I may just leave it there for a day or two. I'm probably going to shave with it all week
