I bought a lather catcher and one blade stop is barely usable and the other has been wiped off.Is there anyway to repair it? Is it possible for a jeweler to repair it ?
I'm not positive, but I don't think so and if he could it might be cost prohibitive. I have an EverReady 1928 "shovelhead" with the same problem. Other than the handle and lid it's useless, however I've never gotten another SE without working blade stops!! I ask ask ask every question I can think of no matter how silly or obvious and if I can't see enough I ask for as many pictures as I need to feel comfortable or I pass on the razor.. There will always be another razor coming along....Sorry I can't give you better info, perhaps someone else has had better luck with fixing the stops..
This guy did it and detailed how he did. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/252796-Ever-Ready-lather-catcher-blade-stop-repair
