Many of us are avid readers and movie lovers. What are you currently reading or about to read? Also, What movies did you see recently or are planning to see? Reviews are encouraged.

    Watched:

    The Count of Monte Cristo
starring Jim Caviezel (sp?) on Sat. Night.
A really decent flick with a great story line and good action scenes.
Love interest with conflicts between Good and Evil throughout.

    This Weekend

Watched "Ghost Rider" with Nicolas Cage this weekend on DVD. Save your money and just rent it. The effects were OK but the story and acting needed a lot of work. My daughter has seen scarier scenes in the Harry Potter movies.

Reading - Dean Koontz - "By the Light of the Moon." I'm cleaning out my wife's stockpile of Dean Koontz novels before I move onto other books light reading.

I saw Ratatouille with my sister, it was pretty funny.

Not that I hadn't seen it before, but I also watched Apocalypse Now yesterday. That movie is good as ever.

While I had seen bits and peices of it before, I watched Dr. Strangelove from start to finish and I dunno what it is... that movie just doesn't do it for me.

Odd, I find Dr. Strangelove a Cinima Masterpeice.

The movie is so funny you don't laugh untill it is over. :D

Just think of some of the things that happend in it and I bet you will giggle your butt off. The Coke Machine, Buck doing an airplane impression, "I would like a poahed egg", etc. :rofl

Watched Stephen King's Rose Red for the second time. Nothing inherently wrong with it (well, for a TV movie anyway) but like many literary adaptations it seems really disjointed, I guess there was a lot of the book they just couldn't fit in. Also, the fat guy with the glasses and the crazy professor (can't be bothered to go back and look up the actors real names) were really annoying.
Finally got round to replacing some of my worn out Emmanuelle Beart videos with DVDs, I've got L'Enfer, La Belle Noiseuse, Nathalie, Un Coeur en Hiver and Manon des Sources to keep me going.
    Regards,
    Alex

Saw Ratatouille with my daughter and her friend. Very amusing and cute movie. I liked it. Worked on both kid and adult levels.
