Gentlemaen of TSD, I implore you. I have always used Williams puck soap in my trustee Marvys shave mug, with a boar brush. Recently, I have acquired a Yaqi Barber Pole in 2 band badger. I also tried Clubman Tube Lather in a Q Shave scuttle, with the badger brush. But, I just can’t get a decent lather So, what I’m looking for, is a suggestion for a good bowl lathering cream, with a badger brush. And scentless. What say the board?
When i go looking for a shave bowl it has to be deep so when i start lathering i can push it back down to the bottom from the when it starts coming up from the sides and to add water as needed hope this helps you
I used to use Palmolive tube cream, Great soap, but I don't remember if they make unscented. For a bowl I used a ceramic bowl I found in a thrift shop. One of these days I'll go back to using tube cream, I just have to remember not to get it mixed up with the toothpaste.
Scentless really narrows the field. This is the one cream off the top of my head that won't disappoint: https://www.kissmyface.com/products/fragrance-free-moisture-shave Other than that, all the unscented options I can think of are soaps. My go-to suggestion: https://www.stirlingsoap.com/collections/shave-soap/products/naked-smooth-shave-soap
Ditto on the ditto. Out in the Pacific Northwest it can be found in Fred Meyers and Whole Foods, as well as online. Edit: Kiss my Face unscented really is unscented. It smells like soap.
I stopped but now I started again been enjoying it. I’m not the type of person that has to smash out a shave in 10 mins so I enjoy the luxury. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
